ORIGIN of the ALPHABET

Some of the Hebrew and Ethiopic letter names seem to have a meaning similar to the meaning of the corresponding letter symbols in the first alphabet. The author Finn Rasmussen has the hypothesis that all the letters of the first alphabet, the Ugaritic, had meaningfull letter names and that the sequense of the letter names makes sense. Using the letter names of Hebrew and Ethiopic it is possible to find the Ugaritic letter names. It appears that the 30 letters of the Ugaritic alphabet is a poem and list of the days in the month. The alphabet poem gives a description of the Ugaritic religion. For more information press one of the following lines.
